Best time to visit Nepal:
Nepal is one of the popular destinations for trekkers and climbers throughout the year. Each year thousands of people different regions come to Nepal for trekking, climbing, rafting and sightseeing. Even people are here throughout the year, there are some seasons which are best for trekking in Nepal.
There are four distinct seasons in Nepal and each has distinctive attractions to offer. The seasons are as follows:
Autumn (Sept. – Nov.):
Autumn is the best seasons for trekking in Himalayas region. In this season you can experience favorable climatic condition and exhilarating panoramic mountain views. Temperature is moderate, making it a good time for any trekking whereas the skies are generally clear with outstanding views. If you are lucky enough then you can even get chance to see the local festivals and cultures of Nepal closely. Our main festival such as Dashain and Tihar (Deewali) occurs in October and November.
Winter (Dec. – Feb.):
Winter season is ideal for lower elevation generally below 3000 meters as there will be snowfall at higher elevation. This season is best time for mountain bike, Bungee Jumping, cycling tour, paragliding, river adventure and jungle Safari.In this season, better to trek in lower elevations for suitable and incredible scenery.
Spring (Mar. – May.):
This season is also best suited for mountain expedition, peak climbing, trekking and hiking in mountain regions. In this season, you can able to see different varieties of wild flowers, most exceptionally the rhododendrons, make the hillside above 3000 meters a haunting paradise. It is mildly warm at lower elevations, and at higher elevations over 4000 meters, the mountain views are excellent and temperature is quite moderate.
Summer (June – Aug.):
The season best time for river adventure as the level of river becomes higher. This season also represents the monsoon season in Nepal, as it rains almost every day during this season. You also can have Agro tour as Nepalese farmer farm in their land in this period. This season also would be the best for those who are keen to know about the vegetation as a botanist as the higher valleys and meadows blossom with flowers and lush vegetation.
